Hey, yes hopefully it’s a legitimate mistake but still, we need to put pressure on these companies to do the right thing rather than try to ignore us. Even if they reject your appeal and you get a copyright strike, you need to counter-claim and if they still reject it, they are obligated to launch legal proceedings within a set number of days. If they don’t, the copyright strike gets removed and all the revenue is returned to your channel. It’s a matter of staring them down, which unfortunately most people are scared to do. I’ve been told by another YouTuber that he’s never had a music company actually go all the way and take anyone to court, when the claim is dubious. It costs them a lot of money to do so and it makes no sense for them if they’re going to lose.
